Dr. Eulufi is a third-generation doctor with a passion for ophthalmologic surgery. Originally from Chile, Dr. Eulufi embarked on a remarkable journey that led him to the prestigious Charité Berlin in Germany, where he completed his specialized training. Since 2016 he brings his expertise to Luxembourg, the home country of his wife, Dr. Schmartz, to provide exceptional eye care services in their consultation.
Dr. Eulufi has dedicated his career to mastering the art of ophthalmologic surgery. With extensive knowledge and experience, he specializes in several key areas of eye surgery:

Cataract Surgery : Cataracts can significantly impact vision, leading to blurred vision and reduced quality of life. Dr. Eulufi employs the latest surgical techniques and state-of-the-art technology including Femto laser assistance to perform cataract surgeries with precision and excellent outcomes. Laser refractive surgery or lens implantation (ICL): For those wishing to do without glasses or contact lenses, laser refractive surgery or lens implantation (ICL) can be a life-changing solution. Dr. Eulufi uses advanced technologies to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. With meticulous attention to detail, he strives to provide optimal visual results and personalized care.

Corneal transplantation: Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) is an innovative method of treating endothelial diseases of the cornea. Years of training at the Charité in Berlin, one of the leading institutions in this field, enabled Dr. Eulufi to master this technique and subsequently establish it in Luxembourg: he is the first, and to date the only, surgeon in the country to practice this method.

Presbyopia Treatment : As we age, our eyes undergo changes that can lead to difficulty in focusing on nearby objects, a condition known as presbyopia. Dr. Eulufi offers a range of treatments, including Clear Lens Extraction with multifocal lens implants and Femto laser assisted surgery, tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
