The drug is injected through the sclera (the white of the eye) with a very thin needle. This injection is harmless to the surrounding eye structures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>These injections<\/strong> can stabilise or even reverse the disease, but they usually cannot cure it permanently. They must therefore be repeated frequently.<\/p>\n<p>At present, intravitreal injections are still performed in a hospital (Clinque d&#8217;Eich or H\u00f4pital Robert Schuman). It is likely that this will change in the near future and that this simple procedure will be offered in one of the operating theatres of the<a title=\"Ophthalmologist Luxembourg\" href=\"https:\/\/copp.lu\/en\/\"> Centre Ophtalmologique Place de Paris<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><!-- close content main div --><\/div><\/div><div id='av_section_3'
