Die Injektion erfolgt ambulant nach Applikation von Bet\u00e4ubungstropfen und dauert nur wenige Sekunden. Zur Behandlung des diabetischen Makula\u00f6dems sind mehrere Injektionen \u00fcber mehrere Jahre erforderlich.<\/p>\n<p>Bei einigen Patienten ist eine<strong> intravitreale Kortikosteroid-Injektion<\/strong> indiziert. Die durchschnittliche Wirkungsdauer von Kortikosteroiden betr\u00e4gt vier bis sechs Monate, wodurch die Anzahl der Injektionen reduziert werden kann.<\/p>\n<p>Die <strong>fokale Laserkoagulation<\/strong> war lange Zeit die einzige verf\u00fcgbare Behandlung des diabetischen Makula\u00f6dems.
